Phil Grenfell

  • Age: 23
  • Born: Taree, AUS
  • Height: 5'9"
  • Weight: 155 lbs

Born in the ravenous wilds of Taree, Grenfell was graced with an innate affinity for the solitude that rowing on the nearby Manning River provided. Naturally drawn to the competitive aspect of the sport, his coach supplied an ancient road bike from the ‘80s for crosstraining, his introduction to the world of cycling.

After a serious back injury, Grenfell was forced prematurely to quit rowing during his second year of college. Craving the competition that his former sport provided, he dusted off his donated bicycle and took up road racing. At the end of the 2010 season he joined a domestic Australian team run by Trent Wilson, a former professional who raced the twilight years of his career in the United States. Under his guidance, Grenfell’s racing focus and skill developed exponentially across all aspects of cycling. With his evolved talents, his increased profile led to an offer to ride professionally in the US with Competitive Cyclist in 2012, a true fantasy come to realization for Grenfell.

Phil is a connoisseur of the finer things in life, and when not training or racing, usually he’s basking in them: Lounging on the beach, sleeping, and socializing with his excessively attractive ladyfriend and mates.
